Overview

Connect up to 4 external analogue cameras

The securityProbe can display pictures from four cameras simultaneously in several sizes, up to 640x480 pixels resolution.

Analogue cameras are the kind used in professional surveillance and CCTV monitoring systems. Built-in pan-tilt controller interface allows complete control of pan and tilt cameras using the industry standard Pelco-D bus.

Video Conferencing

Video conferencing is activated by connecting an external camera to the securityProbe. The securityProbe has an integrated speaker and microphone for communication.

The above demonstrates 4 different pictures. Displayed under simultaneous mode from all 4 camera channels (enabled as V1, V2, V3 and V4). Under Ravica's integrated Javascript mode, pictures are updated every 5 seconds on all 4 camera channels simultaneously. Under scan mode, a picture from each camera is, in turn, shown on the web interface, as the current picture is displayed and then replaced by the picture from the next camera.

For more streaming video picture, ActiveX and JavaApplet are offered as alternatives. Each camera channel is updated variously in accordance with the number of cameras enabled. For one camera channel enabled, the maximum rate is 30 fps at 320x240 pixels "fast network" selected. Thus, the frame rate depends on the number of enabled camera channels, image size (320x240 or 640x480 pixels), and network speed option selected - slow or fast.

There is one input and one output for audio. The audio input is a Line-In signal. If you would like to connect a microphone, it should be amplified before connecting to the rear panel connector. The connector for both input and output is a 3.5mm stereo jack; however, the software only supports a mono signal. The output signal is 5Vp-p. The sampling frequency for audio is 8 kHz.
