The Ravica Universal Mount Camera is designed to provide greater functionality to the SecurityProbe series. Not only can you monitor assets and infrastructure remotely, combining the Ravica UMC Camera with a securityProbe allows you to actually see any problems, from anywhere in the world.
The Ravica UMC is designed around a high resolution CCD camera from Sony. The pictures are truly stunning even in low light conditions. The camera features AWB (Auto White Balance), and has a horizontal resolution of 640 pixels per line, with 625 lines (interlaced). The sensor is a 1/3" interline CCD. It has excellent low light sensitivity of 0.5 lux at f1.2.
The UMC camera is compatible with the SecurityProbe series. Live full-color streaming video is available at up to 15 frames per second on a local network, via the web interface. Standard JPG format pictures are used allowing the use of third party host tools to store and analyze the JPG pictures. The pictures can be easily downloaded from the SecurityProbe to a local host where standard software can be used to view, store, or manipulate the images.
Once a UMC camera is attached to a SecurityProbe, the user has the ability to have pictures of all events stored in the integrated picture log or sent via the Notification Matrix. Pictures can be sent via e-mail, FTP, MMS, or even streamed directly to a compatible mobile phone.
The UMC mounting bracket is extremely flexible and allows the camera to be mounted at any elevation. The maximum length of the cable between the camera and the SecurityProbe is dependent on the type of cable you use. Typically, professional video applications use RG-6 type cables. In practice, the maximum length of RG-6 cable is about 100m. For best results, we recommend you use BNC connectors and RG-6 coaxial cable to connect the camera to the SecurityProbe.
